James, James get out of the water. Please, please don’t go down no farther. There’s rapids up ahead in this valley’s bed. Please, James. I stared hopelessly at the muddy bank of the river. I was at the bend where the current would begin to pick up. Just before the rapids that smashed the dark water against the rocks, skirting the waves in white foam with a deafening roar as they spilled over their obstacles. I was shaking, but I crossed my arms to try and hide it. It was so bright, but then...

The light is fading, all I see is… Grey. It’s all mostly grey. Well, more like muted colors actually. They’re more ghostly, reminiscent of their original hues. I can make out some of the surroundings, but they’re unfocused. Foggy around the edges, as if there’s just enough light to make out the room, but not enough for details. Oh, there are people here, too… just a handful of them. The faces seem familiar, but the cold, dim light almost makes them look like skulls. Or is my imagination just twisting them in the darkness? Deepening the pits and hollows of their features and morphing them into ghouls.

The clock strikes one on an empty square, The ominous bell tolls hanging in the air, A clang of the hammer over the soft drums of rain Calling darkness to rise up and take the reigns. As frigid drops fall to the frozen ground, Upon the weathered, sleeping town. A violent gust whips through the stony walls, A raven lets out his sorrowful calls, Death hangs over him like a thick, black sheet, Heavy on the shoulders of a figure on the street. I have always wondered when this would be over, When all of this frustration and confusion would dissipate, When I would see the sun again through the clouds of fear and doubt. If ever I told you what I felt, I'm afraid everything about our friendship would shift. Either beginning a new era of open affection, Or a moment of instant remorse, inevitable heartbreak. What happened to you? What have you done with it? That warm smile I once knew I suppose it has gone for good. Much to my chagrin, and yet not at all surprising The real you is stuck up, arrogant, and yet…I can't stay mad at you. Hard as I try…I just cannot break free of this affection, its impossible. However harsh your treatment, A friend one day and a pariah the next? This I'd like to know, why you could get off with such behavior, Which, if I were to imitate, I would be chastised within an inch of my dignity, And left friendless in a sea of adolescent faces. The skies are full of rain; falling faster toward the ground I am alone, in this fearsome tempest. No one else around I wish I could move but I am much too cold, The rain is up to my knees, below that I don't feel anymore. I cannot see my feet, the water is just too dark. Pins and needles up and down my back and arms. Frigid waves now graze my chin. My Bio

I was a Fashion Design student, as well as dabbler in all areas of art - as you will see in my gallery. I have a strong respect for words, and I like to write poetry (especially when I need to vent, or just generally unburden my own mind). I also like to watch and review different anime series, which I got into after I met a lot of animator friends at college, so if you have a favorite you'd like to share please drop me a comment! But other than that I'm basically a concoction of colorful patterns, dry wit, and heaping helping of family love.

New life development, I've gotten a job in a bakery so I've been super busy baking more pies than I can count and getting up at like 4 am. But I LOVE my new job and I'm so excited to be like a real functioning adult with a full time job. So PTL, and I'll see ya later Deviants!

Greetings fellow Deviants! We all know I'm pretty bad at updating regularly, but I thought I'd give you all a glimpse of what's going on with me just in case you were curious...(I know you weren't but it's nice that you're humoring me, I like that about you). I got a new job!!! I now have a full time job in a bakery and I'm loving it! I was super concerned before about the direction my life was taking once I left college after my sophomore year (I'd become a pit of despair and I couldn't keep dumping money into it...so yeah). But now I'm really getting the hang of this being a functional adult stuff and I'm enjoying not doing homework. So ye
